The house, originally built in 1940, had 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and was in need of a complete renovation.

The client required a flexible design, that would allow the house to be partitioned and rented short term in different configurations, but could also be rented long term as a single family house. With that in mind, two of the bedrooms remain with access to the living room and kitchen, while the third bedroom can be rented separate, with its own private entrance and bathroom. In the attic, storage space was optimized and a fourth bedroom with it’s own bathroom and separate entrance with a custom built stair were added, maximizing rent strategies and cash flow for the client.

All plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems were updated; new thermal insulation and high speed Internet were installed. In the kitchen, all cabinets and island were custom designed and built to optimize the space.
